My name is Montse Soler and I am a professional translator and copyeditor, working from the source languages of English and French into the target languages of Spanish and Catalan. I obtained my degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vic (1998-2003) as well as studying Italian. I also studied copyediting at the CPNL (Consortium for Language Normalization).
After completing my studies I began working as a translator and copyeditor, which I combine with teaching both at language academies and in private classes.
During my university course I specialized in literary, commercial and legal translation, areas in which I now have more than two decades of experience. I am also a sworn translator in the language pairing of Spanish and English. I have worked on a very wide variety of projects, including books, technical manuals, magazines, tourist websites, and advertising. In addition to general and sworn translations, I also offer proofreading services in Catalan and Spanish.
